ASA International (LSE:ASAI) shares climbed 13%, to 198.12p, after the microfinance group revealed its full-year outlook for 2025 remains positive, supported by strong client demand and portfolio growth.
The company expects both underlying and reported net profit to exceed the consensus estimate of $48.3 million.
ASA said momentum seen in the first half continued into the second half. It said loan growth across its markets remained solid and business performance had strengthened through the period.
The company said the improvement in earnings was driven by demand from low-income entrepreneurs across its operating regions. It added that it remains focused on financial inclusion and disciplined portfolio management.
