Active Energy Group PLC (AIM:AEG, OTCQB:ATGVF) has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Cambridge City Football Club
The agreement, estimated to be worth £830,000, will see the AIM-quoted company install and operate a rooftop solar system at the club’s Station Row site to supply discounted renewable power.
The installation is expected to generate 151,918 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. Active Energy said the agreement strengthens its portfolio of contracted behind-the-meter solar assets and aligns with its strategy to secure long-term, revenue-generating PPAs with community and commercial partners.
"This latest agreement marks another important milestone in the expansion of our rooftop solar programme.
"Partnering with community-based organisations such as Cambridge City FC demonstrates the broad reach and effectiveness of our model. We are pleased to deliver long-term savings and clean energy while building a pipeline of high-quality, contracted assets," said Bryan Glendenning, Active Energy's solar & BESS advisor.
