Bold Ventures (TSXV:BOL) president and COO Bruce MacLachlan talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion at Resourcing Tomorrow 2025 about the company’s latest exploration developments and upcoming plans across its Canadian project portfolio.
MacLachlan shared that Bold Ventures is actively advancing six copper-gold projects in Ontario and one base metal project in Quebec. The company has recently released channel sampling results from the Burchell project, identifying a 14-metre-wide gold zone and an additional 15 metres of copper-zinc mineralisation. “It’s early days — it’s never been drilled,” MacLachlan said, highlighting the potential for discovery.
The winter drill program is expected to target multiple prospects at Burchell, including a newly defined zone, as well as known mineralised zones to the north and northwest.
MacLachlan also provided an update on the company's interest in the Koper Lake project in Ontario’s Ring of Fire region. Bold Ventures holds a 10% carried interest in the Black Horse chromite deposit. He noted recent infrastructure commitments from the Ontario government, including agreements with Marten Falls and Webequie First Nations to begin road construction in mid-2026. “We think somebody will come looking for our 10%,” MacLachlan added, suggesting potential strategic interest as road access improves.
Looking ahead, Bold Ventures plans to drill three Ontario projects this winter — Burchell, Traxxin, and Wilcorp — with results expected around PDAC or shortly after. All projects are road-accessible, creating opportunities for cost-effective exploration synergies.
