MP Evans Group PLC (AIM:MPE) has reported that flooding in Indonesia caused by a severe cyclone has affected parts of Sumatra, including the group’s Simpang Kiri estate in Aceh. Estates in North Sumatra were not impacted, it added.
The company said all its workers remained safe, although operations at Simpang Kiri were briefly disrupted. It noted that flood waters have now subsided and normal activity is expected to resume in the coming weeks. The Group added that the flooding is not expected to have a material effect on crop or production for the year.
