U.S. Gold Corp (NASDAQ:USAU) CEO George Bee talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the latest progress at the CK Gold Project during Resourcing Tomorrow 2025. Bee highlighted that the project, which is fully permitted and ready to move into construction, stands to benefit significantly from current strong metal prices - especially gold, copper and silver.
“The key issue was to make sure that we had the value proposition, which we've demonstrated, and then also get to be fully permitted,” Bee said, noting that the company is now beginning construction on an access road ahead of a broader build-out next year.
Since Resourcing Tomorrow 2024, the company paused briefly to assess Glencore Technologies' Jameson Cell technology. The updated feasibility study now incorporates that technology for improved metal recovery and reduced energy use. U.S. Gold Corp has also replaced its prior dry-stack tailings approach with a JORD Viper system, reducing its environmental footprint.
The CK Gold Project is scheduled to move into major construction in 2026, with commissioning and production slated for late 2027 into 2028. Initial mine life is expected to run for 10 years, with known additional resources at depth offering future expansion potential.
