Solis Minerals CEO Mitch Thomas talked with Proactive about the newly released 3D geophysical modelling for the Cucho Project in Peru. The update has been well received by the market and highlights the company’s continued commitment to advancing exploration efforts.
Thomas explained that the Cucho Project was acquired in October and came with a wealth of historic data, including seven drill holes, magnetometer and IP readings, as well as extensive geochemical mapping. “Every drill hole encountered significant mineralisation,” Thomas noted, reinforcing the project's geological potential.
The integration of this data into a 3D model allowed the team to consolidate insights and refine future drilling plans. “It’s really just put an underline under the emphasis that we’re keen to drill this thing,” he added.
In addition, Thomas confirmed that a new drone-borne magnetic survey will begin within weeks. This will replace older data collected over a decade ago, incorporating updated technology to support further geological modelling and drill targeting.
Looking ahead, Solis is awaiting assay results from two projects drilled in 2025 and anticipates news on permit approvals for the Cienega project, with a strong finish expected for the year and momentum building into 2026.
