Across the past five sessions, the index has gained 0.50% and is up 5.15% year to date.
The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries index ended at 3,684.90, down 7.60 points (0.21%) for the day, but higher by 27.80 points (0.76%) over the past five trading days.
