Standard Uranium targets Corvo drilling in 2026 - ICYMI

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) earlier this week said it has secured an 18-month exploration permit for its Corvo project in Saskatchewan’s eastern Athabasca Basin.

The company told investors that the permit will enable it to carry out a high-resolution gravity survey, execute its first drill program on the project in early 2026, and undertake further geophysical work later in the year.

Sean Hillacre, vice president of exploration, told Proactive a gravity survey had already begun and would cover up to 29 kilometres of strike length to define target zones for drilling.

The company reported surface assay results from summer 2025, including a peak result of 8.1% U3O8 at the Manhattan showing. It said this exceeded historical results from previous operators.

Hillacre said the Corvo project had not been drilled in around 40 years. He noted that modern geophysical tools, combined with data processing and 3D modelling, offer significantly improved capabilities for targeting mineralisation.

“The post-processing and inversion steps… give us our model to go target our drill holes off of is insanely better than it was 20 years ago,” Hillacre told Proactive.

The initial drill program is expected to start in January 2026, with approximately 3,000 metres of drilling planned.
