South Harz Potash Executive Chairman Len Jubber talked with Proactive about the company’s strategic diversification efforts, including its planned acquisition of the Glava Copper-Gold-Silver project in Sweden.
Jubber outlined how the company has historically focused on its large-scale potash project in Germany, secured under three perpetual mining licenses, describing it as a “cornerstone” asset. He noted that while the South Harz project has reached pre-feasibility and environmental permitting stages, current potash prices prompted a review of corporate strategy.
“We felt that it was in shareholders’ best interest if we looked at broadening our portfolio,” Jubber said, explaining that the company is now implementing a “dual strategy.”
He highlighted the rationale for targeting Sweden — particularly its regulatory environment, demand for critical minerals, and funding opportunities within Europe. According to Jubber, Glava’s surface mineralisation and minimal glacial cover allow for established exploration techniques to be deployed quickly. The presence of copper, gold, silver, and tellurium in sampling has provided further confidence in the project's prospectivity.
Jubber also confirmed that South Harz has partnered with McKnight Resources, which brings regional expertise and on-ground presence, helping accelerate exploration efforts in Scandinavia.
