Deltex Medical picks up £170,000 R&D grant

Innovation agency Innovate UK awarded the moey to support Deltex’s research and development programme.

Deltex Medical (LON:DEMG) has picked up a UK government grant worth £170,000 to develop further its range of blood monitoring systems.

Innovation agency Innovate UK awarded the grant to support Deltex’s research and development programme.

It covers 35% of eligible costs on a project to develop a new non-invasive way to acquire haemodynamic data from patients. The project runs from now until the second half of 2016.

Ewan Phillips, Deltex's chief executive, said: We are delighted that our grant application was successful.

“This will help us bring our next generation of innovative haemodynamic monitoring products to market more quickly to meet the growing clinical demand in many countries for enhanced haemodynamic monitoring."

Deltex says its oesophageal Doppler monitoring (ODM) is the only technology that can measure blood flow in the body’s central circulation function in real time.
