Seeing Machines Ltd (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF) has announced new automotive business wins in Europe and Japan, including an additional contract with an existing European Tier 1 and OEM customer.
The new work will support enhanced interior perception systems as the OEM introduces semi-automation functionality, it noted.
Seeing Machines said the incremental European program has an initial lifetime value of around $10 million, with production scheduled to begin in 2028 and run through 2031.
"We are delighted to extend our scope with this European Tier 1 customer as we collaborate to deliver leading-edge DMS solutions and get more people home safely every day," said chief executive Paul McGlone.
"And the announcement of our inaugural win with MELMB marks an important milestone for our operations in the region."
Elsewhere, Seeing Machines also reported a new award in Japan, via Mitsubishi Electric Mobility Corporation, to supply a small program for a Japanese OEM, valued at $1.60 million, with production planned for 2028.
The company noted that these contracts lift the initial lifetime value of all automotive awards to more than $400 million, most of which is expected before 2028.
McGlone, meanwhile, highlighted catalysts and drivers to further new business in Europe, namely new legislati"on due to come into effect in July 2026.
"It is our expectation that many current Automotive programs will be extended and potentially expanded to incorporate additional features," he said.
"Leveraging our existing relationships will be instrumental in shaping our business expectations as OEMs address regulatory requirements for advanced distraction warning across the region.
"Our track record of successfully supporting programs to production is demonstrated by over 4 million vehicles equipped with our technology on the road as reported at the end of Q1 FY2026."
