Polarean Imaging PLC (AIM:POLX, OTC:PLLWF) has signed an exclusive agreement with DK Healthcare to bring its Xenon MRI technology to South Korea, a move that broadens the company’s reach in the Asia-Pacific region.
The AIM-quoted firm develops a specialised form of Magnetic Resonance Imaging that uses xenon gas to show how air moves through the lungs.
Conventional MRI scans struggle with lung imaging because lungs are full of air rather than tissue. By using a harmless, inhaled gas, Polarean’s system provides detailed pictures of ventilation and lung function that cannot be captured with standard methods.
The company said the deal with DK Healthcare is its second major international distribution partnership.
It hopes the arrangement will give it a foothold in one of the world’s most technically advanced healthcare markets. Before any sales can begin, the two companies will work together to secure regulatory approval in South Korea.

DK Healthcare, founded in 1986 and based in Seoul, supplies a wide range of radiology systems and has long-standing relationships with global medical device makers.
It is part of DK, a broader group involved in diagnostic and imaging technologies.
The company said the agreement strengthens its international push as it looks to build commercial momentum behind its lung-imaging technology.
