McBride PLC (LSE:MCB) shares scrubbed up 19% to 131.92p as the provider of white-lable cleaning and hygiene products launched a £20 million share buyback alongside a trading update.
The group said it "continues to deliver solid financial and operational performance", anticipating that adjusted operating profit for year to June 2026 will be in line with analyst expectations, which are for £64.3 million.
"This will result in a third consecutive year of stable profitability at these levels," it noted.
The first phase of a new enterprise resource planning system saw implementation at its Middleton production site and Manchester head office on 3 November.
"The programme focus now moves to Europe, with the next wave of implementations expected later in 2026."
Management said it aims to increase the maximum allowance for share buybacks from the current 10% of shares outstanding to 25%.
