Astrid Intelligence rises 7% as it hires two senior Bittensor figures

Astrid Intelligence PLC (AQSE:ASTR) shares rose 7% to 0.11p after the decentralised AI company appointed Mark Creaser as chief executive and Siam Kidd as chief strategy officer, bringing both onto the board immediately.

The pair are well-known within Bittensor, the blockchain-based network where machine-learning “subnets” compete to produce high-quality AI outputs. Astrid said the hires strengthen its leadership as it expands further into that ecosystem.

Creaser, a long-time Bittensor participant, previously ran DSV Fund, the hedge fund focused solely on the network. He will now lead Astrid’s operating strategy, organisational development and growth initiatives.

Kidd, his co-founder at DSV Fund and a former RAF pilot, has more than 20 years’ experience across trading, hedge funds and M&A. His recent work has focused on TAO, Bittensor’s native token, and the economics that drive the network.

Astrid said he will oversee its network strategy, Bittensor operations and allocation of infrastructure resources.

The company noted that Bittensor’s subnets now generate more than 50 million AI outputs a day, with their combined value approaching $1 billion.

Executive chair Olivia Edwards said the appointments enhance Astrid’s ability to build a decentralised intelligence infrastructure and deepen its role within the Bittensor ecosystem.
