IP Group PLC (LSE:IPO) has wrapped up the £20 million extension to its share buyback plan, taking total purchases under the programme to 157.9 million shares at an average 47.5p, costing £75 million. All the shares bought have been or will soon be cancelled, leaving the company with 883.4 million shares in issue. The group said buybacks remain a key part of its capital allocation policy and that it may consider further repurchases depending on future asset sales.
