Astrid Intelligence PLC (AQSE:ASTR) has brought in two senior figures from the Bittensor world to help drive its next phase of growth, appointing Mark Creaser as chief executive and Siam Kidd as chief strategy officer.
The company, which focuses on decentralised artificial intelligence, a field that spreads computing and decision-making across a network rather than relying on a single central system, said both men join the board with immediate effect.
Olivia Edwards, Astrid’s executive chair, said the hires would “strengthen the Company’s leadership capabilities as we continue to develop decentralised intelligence infrastructure and expand our participation in the Bittensor ecosystem”.
Creaser is a long-time participant in Bittensor, a blockchain-based network where different machine-learning “subnets” compete to provide high-quality AI outputs.
He previously ran DSV Fund, described as the first hedge fund dedicated solely to Bittensor.
His work there involved building relationships across the network and securing access to key subnets, specialised groups that perform tasks such as language modelling or data ranking.
Astrid said he will now take charge of its operating strategy, organisational development and growth plans.
Kidd, who becomes chief strategy officer, co-founded DSV Fund alongside Creaser.
A former RAF pilot, he has spent more than two decades in markets, spanning trading, hedge fund management and dealmaking.
In recent years, he has focused on Bittensor and its native token TAO, which sits at the heart of the network’s incentive structure.
Bittensor’s subnets collectively generate more than 50 million AI outputs a day, according to the company, and the combined value of those subnets is approaching $1 billion.
Astrid said Kidd will shape its participation across the Bittensor network, oversee operations linked to decentralised AI and guide how the group allocates resources to infrastructure in the space.
