Alphabet shares at all-time high following Gemini 3 release

Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) shares are trading at an all-time high, hitting an intraday high of about $304 on Wednesday, following the release of the company’s latest large language model, Gemini 3.

The new AI model, which succeeds the previous Gemini version, is designed to deliver improved responses to complex queries, with better contextual understanding and reduced need for prompting.

Gemini 3 is integrated across Google’s search products, the Gemini app, and enterprise services. It also features enhanced coding capabilities, multimodal functionality, allowing it to handle text, images, and code, and visual learning features.

The model positions Alphabet to compete more directly with offerings from competitors such as OpenAI’s GPT-5 and Anthropic’s AI solutions.

Alphabet plans to monetize Gemini 3 through integration into commercial products and paid APIs, leveraging the company’s existing ecosystem of services and scale.

Investors welcomed the release, sending the company’s shares up 3.5% to $295 on early Wednesday afternoon, gaining 54% in the year to date.
