'Church-tech' is not the usual fare on Wall Street, but Gloo Holdings has managed to carve out a space of its own with a $582 million US IPO.
The Colorado-based software group, which serves Christian organisations with digital tools and support services, priced 9.1 million shares at $8 each (below its $10–$12 target), raising just shy of $73 million.
Gloo operates a platform that connects churches and faith groups with providers of technology, content, marketing and donor services.
The company has also strengthened its leadership this year, hiring former Intel chief Pat Gelsinger as executive chairman and head of technology.
The listing lands as IPO activity in the States is expected to gather pace in December, now that the Securities and Exchange Commission has resumed work after the country’s longest government shutdown.
That interruption briefly stalled what had been the busiest autumn for new offerings since 2021, following an earlier pause in April when President Donald Trump’s tariffs temporarily cooled sentiment.
