The ASX 200 closed sharply lower on Tuesday, shedding 1.94% and setting a new 100-day low.
It's been a bloodbath - every sector finished in the red. IT was hit hardest, the sector shed nearly 6 per cent.
Green
Riversgold shot up after resuming drilling at its Kalgoorlie Gold Project, focusing on the Northern Zone to expand the mineralised footprint.
James Hardie was up on its strong second-quarter update. The company posted a 34% percent jump in sales, boosted by its AZEK acquisition. Management also lifted full-year earnings guidance.
Red
The IT sector took a big hit, and whilst all the tech giants finished in the red, Technology One dragged the sector despite another record full-year result. The software leader beat guidance, announced a special dividend, and reaffirmed its billion-dollar ARR target for 2030, but the market still expected better.
Catapult Sports also took a hit despite its half-year results. The sports tech group delivered solid growth, including a 19 percent lift in contract value, but investors also expected more.
