The S&P/ASX 200 closed sharply lower on Tuesday, falling 167.30 points (1.94%) to 8,469.10 and hitting a new 100-day low. The weakest performers in the index were Technology One Limited and Catapult Sports Ltd, which dropped 17.20% and 11.72% respectively.
Over the past five days, the index has declined 3.97%, though it remains up 3.80% year to date.
The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries (XSO) also retreated, finishing at 3,584.90, down 98.10 points (2.66%) today and 177.50 points (4.72%) over the past five days
