James Hardie shares jump on ADR lift

James Hardie shares climbed as much as 8.7% to a two-week high of $27.63 after its ADRs jumped up to 15% in after-hours trade, with the building materials giant lifting its full-year profit forecast by about 11% on the back of better-than-expected performance from its newly acquired AZEK business.

The upgrade follows a slide to a five-year low of $24.41 earlier this month amid mounting investor concern over the AZEK acquisition.

JHX shares were last up 7.43% at $27.32 at 1pm AEST.
