Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has reported strong final 1-metre assay results from the Clement and Godfrey prospects at its Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia, marking another step forward in its broader resource growth and mine development plans.
The results complete a 59-hole, 6,155-metre reverse circulation (RC) program across Clement, Godfrey, and Amand and confirm the presence of stacked, near-surface high-grade lodes at Clement alongside continuous gold mineralisation at Godfrey. At the same time, Nexus has secured state approval for the Mining Development and Closure Plan (MDCP) for the Crusader–Templar deposit, keeping the project on track for operational readiness in the December quarter of 2025.

Clement delivers broad, high-grade zones
Clement, located just 250 metres east of the Crusader–Templar resource, returned standout intercepts that reinforce its potential as a significant growth target within the Wallbrook project. Key results include:
- 15 metres at 5.21 g/t gold (within 34 metres at 2.73 g/t) from 116 metres;
- 14 metres at 3.00 g/t gold (within 50m at 1.03 g/t) from 35 metres;
- 3 metres at 5.36 g/t gold (within 11m at 2.00 g/t) from 112 metres; and
- 2 metres at 5.05 g/t gold (within 8m at 1.57 g/t) from 49 metres.

The final 1-metre results improve on earlier composite assays and confirm multiple stacked mineralised lodes dipping west from surface to around 150 metres’ depth, remaining open in all directions. Previous aircore drilling also returned broad intervals of anomalous gold, pointing to a robust, laterally continuous mineralised system.
Managing director Andy Tudor said Clement’s performance highlights a “material opportunity for resource growth” and supports the view that the mineralising system linking Clement to Crusader–Templar is “larger and more continuous than previously recognised”.

Godfrey strengthens 1.2-kilometre gold corridor
At Godfrey, located about 600 metres east of Crusader–Templar, drilling continues to firm up a 1,200-metre strike footprint with several higher-grade zones emerging along the trend. New highlights include:
- 5 metres at 1.81 g/t gold including 1 metre at 5.89 g/t from 52 metres;
- 5 metres at 1.58 g/t gold from 29 metres; and
- 2 metres at 1.93 g/t gold from surface.

Results build on previously reported aircore intersections and confirm consistent gold mineralisation from surface through to fresh rock, hosted within felsic porphyries and volcanic–volcaniclastic units. Two priority mineralised pods have now been outlined, with the southern zone showing the strongest potential and remaining open along strike and at depth.
Tudor said the final results improve on the earlier composites, “confirming the existence of higher-grade gold zones along the prospect’s current 1.2-kilometre strike footprint and highlighting further upside potential across this highly prospective corridor”.

Regional drilling and development advances
Alongside the RC work, Nexus has completed a 10,073-metre regional aircore program testing new target MC3.3 and extension areas at the Branches Prospect. All samples have been submitted for assay, with results expected in the coming weeks.
On the development front, the WA Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration's approval of the Crusader–Templar MDCP marks a major permitting milestone. Nexus expects to receive remaining operational permits in the December quarter of 2025 and is progressing discussions with potential operating and toll treatment partners. The project remains on track for site mobilisation, subject to finalising those agreements.

The June 2024 scoping study will now be updated to reflect current costs and gold price assumptions. Under previous parameters, the study outlined a production target of 1.5 million tonnes at 1.75 g/t gold for 80,000 ounces and generated an estimated cash surplus of $67 million at a $3,500/oz gold price.
With two prospects now demonstrating strong upside, ongoing regional drilling, and mine development activities advancing, Nexus says momentum continues to build across the Wallbrook Gold Project as it moves towards its next set of exploration and development milestones.
