OptiBiotix shares up on weight-management order

OptiBiotix Health PLC (AIM:OPTI, OTC:OPBXF) shares traded higher on Monday morning, after it announced it has received a first order from a well-known European weight-management company.

It marks the first commercial step under an agreement signed in August, the company highlighted.

Described as a 'low six-figure' order, it covers private-label SlimBiome gummies, bars and drinks, plus a WellBiome product expected to launch under the customer’s own brand in Europe during the first half of 2026.

“We are pleased to announce this large first order with a well-known European weight management company,” CEO Stephen O’Hara said.

OptiBiotix said the order reflects growing interest from brands seeking natural alternatives that demonstrate appetite-reduction effects similar to prescription anti-obesity drugs.

He added that the products’ human-study data are drawing attention from companies entering the “fast-growing natural alternative to the GLP1 market.”

OptiBiotix noted the order follows recent launches of SlimBiome with partners including Hydroxycut in the United States, Dr Morepen’s LightLife brand in India, Holland & Barrett’s SlimExpert range in the UK, and sports nutrition firms Muscletech and Myprotein.

The company said it expects additional product positioning changes in 2026 as the category evolves.

In London, Optibiotix shares were up 7.4% changing hands at 8.32p.
