Lightning Minerals managing director Alex Biggs talked with Proactive about the company’s recent drilling results at the Mt Turner Gold Project. Biggs confirmed gold mineralisation was intercepted in eight of the nine drill holes completed along the Drama Fault, validating the site’s status as a “target-rich environment.”
He explained that this program served as a confirmation exercise, reinforcing the presence of gold, the potential scale, and geological significance of the fault system. “We’re confirming the potential of the Drama Fault, and we’re confirming potential scale. We’ve done that,” Biggs said.
Biggs highlighted the multi-commodity opportunity at Mt Turner, which also includes copper, zinc, and epithermal gold systems. The company is now planning a follow-up Phase 2 drill program to target high-priority zones, particularly near Pit 3 and Pit SA, where previous drilling returned 20m at 2.5g/t gold.
