Happy Creek Minerals poised for upside amid tungsten price recovery, analysts say

Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V:HPY, OTC:HPYCF) has been awarded a ‘Long’ rating by Hallgarten & Company in their initial coverage of the company, with a price target of $0.32, which suggests upside of almost 150% from current levels.

The ‘Long’ rating indicates potential capital appreciation to Hallgarten’s target price during the next 12 months, reflecting the firm’s view that Happy Creek is well-positioned to benefit from both rising Tungsten prices and its development plans.

The analysts believe Happy Creek stands out as one of the few pure Tungsten explorers remaining after a decade of market consolidation.

Hallgarten noted that Tungsten has historically been challenging for companies due to fluctuating prices. The resurgence of interest in Tungsten is partly linked to its industrial and military applications.

“If we had to choose a metal to crown as the military metal par excellence it would undoubtedly be Tungsten for its usage in shells and in armour-plating,” Hallgarten wrote, noting that the metal’s critical role has been recognized since World War II.

The firm emphasized the Fox project’s strategic position, with its high-grade resource and proximity to historical mining operations in southern British Columbia.

Outgoing CEO Jason Bahnsen’s background as a mining engineer as a key advantage, the firm added. “A key giveaway of the eventual direction of Happy Creek Minerals is that the CEO is a mining engineer by training. This gives investors a strong sign that production is the eventual goal, rather than the eternal sound of drilling,” they wrote.

Happy Creek’s other holdings, including a stake in Metal Energy, were also cited as strengthening the company’s portfolio.

“In light of the attractive, and most probably lasting, confluence of events in the Tungsten space, Happy Creek Minerals finds itself in the right metal, in the right place at the right time, a rare occurrence,” the analysts concluded.
