Ariana Resources PLC (AIM:AAU, ASX:AA2) has reported new assay results from seventy-one drill holes completed in the North Zone at the Tavsan Mine in western Turkey.
The drill programme is focused on resource expansion and infill drilling in an area earmarked as the next open pit for development.
Intercepts included 5.10m at 7.23g/t gold and 3.61g/t silver, 8.50m at 3.70g/t gold and 2.09g/t silver, and 7.30m at 4.02g/t gold and 4.81g/t silver.
Managing director Kerim Sener said: "This is an excellent set of drilling results from the ongoing Tavsan diamond drilling programme. These results relate to the drilling recently completed in the Tavsan North zone
"This is expected to facilitate an expansion of the Resource and ultimately the Reserve in this area, as we continue to work towards further increases to the expected total 8-year life of mine at Tavsan. The mine has already been in production from its Main Zone for almost two years and went operational through its heap-leach just last month."
Drilling continues across the Main and South zones, with a full resource update expected on completion of the 15,000m programme in the third quarter of 2026.
