Askari Metals Ltd executive director Gino D'Anna talked with Proactive about the company's newly launched exploration program at the Nejo Gold and Copper Project in central-western Ethiopia.
D'Anna explained that the dual-track program targets gold in the south and copper in the northwest of the tenement, with an initial focus on validating historical RC drill collars on the Goodi Goodi trend. These include high-priority gold drill targets at Goodi Goodi 1 and Konto 2, which have seen historical drilling and trenching but little systematic follow-up.
The company is preparing for a drilling campaign in Q4 2025, with administrative steps already underway. A maiden resource could be achieved within 12 months, as the company works across its 1,200 sq km project area.
