Kairos Minerals Ltd (ASX:KAI, OTCQB:KAIFF) has released assays from a further 14 diamond holes at the 1.4Moz Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara. Thirteen of the new holes are from the Main Hill prospect, which remains a major growth focus, with one hole from Gossan Hill extending mineralisation in a footwall position at Breccia Hill. The latest results build on the continuity of wide, higher-grade zones along the Main Trend and extend the “Monster” zone beneath Main Hill.
Key intercepts
- Gossan Hill (25MYDD067): 67m at 1.92 g/t Au from 140m, including 6m at 6.91 g/t Au from 200m.
- Main Hill (25MYDD058): 50m at 1.10 g/t Au from 235m, including 24m at 1.73 g/t Au from 251m.
- Main Hill (25MYDD066): 26m at 2.03 g/t Au from 96m, including 2m at 16.33 g/t Au from 96m; plus 19m at 1.08 g/t Au from 194m.
- Main Hill (25MYDD056): 28m at 1.18 g/t Au from 297m, including 10m at 2.06 g/t Au from 315m.
Leapfrog ‘grade shell’ model of the Main Trend showing significant current best results (in yellow boxes) and historic holes (white boxes). Hole 25MYDD031 shows the position of the new ‘Monster’ Zone under Main Hill. The outer grade shell is >0.1 g/t Au.
The intersections confirm thick, continuous mineralisation across the Main Trend. Notably, hole 25MYDD067 at Gossan Hill has identified significant mineralisation at Breccia Hill, substantially extending a high-grade shoot down-dip and westward, which is expected to contribute to future resource growth.
“These latest drill results from the remaining few holes over Main Trend (Main Hill and Gossan Hill) continue to support Mt York as a large, wide system that remains very much open at depth. These results support resource growth and increase confidence of the resources at Mt York,” Kairos managing director Dr Peter Turner said.
“We have now mobilised four drill rigs from three different drill contractors to the extension of Mt York on PLS’s ground. The drilling follows up historic drill hits from PLS and seeks to understand the geology and the scale of mineralisation along the entire 1,500m strike length. This region has never seen this level of drilling intensity before – a very exciting time for the dedicated Kairos Exploration Team.
“With a lot of drilling to complete before the onset of the Pilbara Summer, we are on track to complete all drilling and sampling to deliver a new mineral resource update in Q1 CY2026 that will include approximately 30,000m of additional drilling information from our 2025 campaign, the largest drilling campaign in the Company’s history on this asset.”

Drilling intensifies
Drilling activity has intensified. So far in 2025, Kairos has completed 89 holes for 21,098 metres, with more assay results pending. The ramp-up includes work on the 1,500-metre Mt York Extension target on Pilbara Minerals’ (PLS) tenement E45/2241, following the Mineral Rights Agreement. Up to 10,000 metres of combined reverse-circulation and diamond drilling are planned across November and December, with four rigs operating on site to maintain momentum.
The new results are expected to have a positive impact on the next Mt York Mineral Resource Estimate, which remains scheduled for delivery in Q1 CY2026. The company frames Main Hill as a large, still-growing resource target, with the emerging Breccia Hill extensions adding another vector for scale.
Overall highlights
- Breccia Hill standout: 67m @ 1.92 g/t Au from 140m, incl. 6m @ 4.66 g/t from 140m and 6m @ 6.91 g/t from 200m; fills a resource gap and strengthens the hanging-wall contact zone.
- Link to 2022 holes: The new intercept appears to connect with high-grade zones in KMYD039 (11m @ 2.86 g/t from 185m) and KMYD040 (10m @ 4.90 g/t from 257m), ~250m to the east.
- Main Hill (13 holes): Strong continuity at depth and still open. Key hits:
- 25MYDD058: 50m @ 1.10 g/t from 235m (incl. 24m @ 1.73 g/t from 251m)
- 25MYDD056: 28m @ 1.18 g/t from 297m (incl. 10m @ 2.06 g/t from 315m)
- 25MYDD066: Multiple broad zones incl. 26m @ 2.03 g/t from 96m (with 2m @ 16.33 g/t), plus 8m @ 1.71 g/t from 143m, 4m @ 1.59 g/t from 184m, and 19m @ 1.08 g/t from 194m.
- Structural model confirmed: Broad, higher-grade zones align with shallow-plunging (near-horizontal) folds, creating traps in footwall or hanging-wall positions.
- Scale and vector: Along the 3,000m Main Trend, deepest-level intercepts (2025 and selected 2022) trace high-grade shoots for hundreds of metres, remaining open at depth.
- Development upside: Results support options for deeper open-pit pushbacks or shallow underground mining scenarios.
What’s next?
Kairos will complete the Stage 1 drilling program along the Main Trend and its extension and then review the results. All geological and assay data will be compiled in preparation for an updated Mineral Resource Estimate, with wireframing of mineralised domains to begin ahead of that work.
Exploration will also start across the 367 km² of PLS licences and application. In parallel, the team will progress a Mining Agreement with the Nyamal Aboriginal Corporation towards signing and initiate advanced metallurgical test work with Minescope Metallurgical Consultants on fresh, transitional and oxide material.
With a cash balance of $30.4 million after a recent $25 million (net) capital raising, Kairos is well funded for the expanded drill program and ongoing studies. A further $10 million is anticipated in 2025 from PLS, either in cash or PLS shares, which would bolster the balance sheet as the company advances towards the planned MRE update.
