Volex shares rise 13% as leadership reshuffle signals next growth phase

Volex PLC (AIM:VLX) shares jumped 13% to 421p after the power and data cable manufacturer appointed Dave Webster as non-executive chair and Nat Rothschild as chief executive officer, both with immediate effect.

Webster brings over two decades of leadership experience in global manufacturing, having previously led Electrical Components International, where he expanded the business to more than $1 billion in revenue across 14 countries.

Most recently, as CEO of CPM Holdings, he oversaw its push into advanced process automation and sustainable packaging technologies.

Rothschild said the leadership changes “underline our key priorities today – to extend and deepen our customer relationships and to focus on delivery of our strategy.” Webster added that he sees “enormous opportunity for further growth” as Volex continues to expand internationally.

The company stated that the appointments mark its next stage of development, following several years of steady expansion in the critical power and data transmission markets.
