Quantum Data Energy PLC (LSE:MAST) shares climbed as much as 17% after the company announced a new partnership with global data centre specialist Navon World, strengthening its plan to develop up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of AI-focused capacity across the UK and internationally.
Navon, which designs and operates infrastructure for artificial intelligence, quantum computing and high-performance computing, joins Quantum’s existing partnership with Carbon Zero Markets.
The three firms will collaborate on modular data centre campuses built in 25–50 megawatt blocks to enable flexible, scalable expansion, with the first sites targeted around Bristol, recently named the UK’s “AI capital.”
Quantum also said it is in talks with one of the UK’s largest residential property developers over potential collaborations, including providing power resilience to housing projects and co-developing data centre sites.
Chief executive Pieter Krügel said the agreement “bolsters our plans to deliver up to 1 GW of AI datacentre-power campuses” and demonstrates Quantum’s ability to attract “quality business partners to unlock and expedite value creation.”
After the initial early surge, the stock settled at 17.52p, up 4%.
