Shares in Image Scan Holdings PLC (AIM:IGE) rose 20% to 1.74p after the X-ray screening specialist announced a contract worth nearly £0.5 million from a long-standing Southeast Asian customer.
The order for the company’s portable ThreatScan X-ray systems marks a repeat purchase and is expected to be delivered within the current financial year. Image Scan said the deal reinforces both the reliability of its technology and its growing presence in the Southeast Asian market.
Chief executive Vincent Deery said the award was “a tremendous start” to the new financial year, highlighting it as a “strong vote of confidence” in the firm’s products and customer relationships.
The company ended the previous year with a forward order book of £4.7 million following an operational recovery and return to profitability in the second half.
Deery said Image Scan’s priority now is to accelerate the conversion of its order pipeline and build on renewed momentum in security and defence markets.
