Markets in a Minute: Krakatoa shines, CBA sinks

The ASX 200 closed lower on Tuesday, finishing down by about 0.19 of a per cent.

Utilities bucked the trend, the sector was up 1.7 per cent, followed by energy, whilst financials took a big hit - and shed nearly 2 per cent.

GREEN

Novo Resources shot up on uncovering more high-grade gold — and valuable antimony — across its Pilbara projects. Rock-chip samples hit up to 77.5 grams per tonne gold, reinforcing the scale and grade potential at the Egina Gold Camp.

Krakatoa Resources was also up on news it's making strong progress at its Zopkhito project in Georgia. Most drill holes have intersected visible antimony.

RED

Life360 was hit hard today, despite confirming its Q3 revenue is up 34%, powered by booming subscriptions and smart global pricing. and also reporting its earnings had surged 174%.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia plunged on its September quarter update. Operating income rose just 3%, and profit growth came in short of investors' expectations.
