Novo Resources returns high-grade Pilbara gold as Sherlock drill hit points to ‘larger system’

Novo Resources Corp (TSX:NVO, OTCQX:NSRPF, ASX:NVO) has struck more high-grade gold — and notable antimony — across multiple prospects within its Pilbara exploration portfolio, outlining a growing pipeline of drill-ready targets at the Egina Gold Camp.

Early-stage work at the Teichman area delivered standout rock-chip assays up to 77.5 g/t gold, while scout drilling at the Sherlock Crossing prospect returned a 3-metre interval grading 2.96 g/t gold and 1.86% antimony from 108 metres, including a metre at 7.71 g/t gold and 4.77% antimony.

Novo says the results reinforce both the scale and the grade potential of its regional gold systems — and the presence of antimony adds a valuable critical-mineral vector rarely tested in the district.

Management sees platform for further drilling

Executive co-chair and acting CEO Mike Spreadborough said the results establish a strong platform for follow-up work.

“The team is extremely pleased with the early-stage results from exploration work completed at the Teichman area and drilling at Sherlock Crossing,” Spreadborough said.

“The geological work at Teichman has highlighted several exciting prospective drill targets with complex geology and structure and significant areas of cover, and we will continue to progress key work activities in the lead-up to a possible maiden drill program,” he added.

“Drilling at Sherlock has provided a significant Au-Sb intercept which is part of a much larger system and highlights the complexity of high-grade vein systems. This result sets an exciting platform for Novo to complete further work at Sherlock Crossing as we look to unlock the full gold and antimony potential of the prospect.”

High-grade rock chips outline drill-ready targets at Teichman

Teichman is part of the Croydon Joint Venture (Novo 70%, Creasy Group 30%) and lies directly south of Novo’s Egina farm-in and joint venture with Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX:NST).

Recent mapping, pXRF soil sampling and rock-chip sampling over a 2.5-by-1.3-kilometre corridor confirmed multiple shear-hosted gold targets, supported by historic mine workings.

Peak assay results include:

  • 77.5 g/t gold (Au), 9.3 g/t silver (Ag) and 0.24% copper (Cu) (Pride NNE)
  • 51.4 g/t Au, 7.9 g/t Ag and 0.59% Cu (Pride N)
  • 38.3 g/t Au (Mountain Maid)
  • 30.3 g/t Au and 17.5 g/t Au from Teichman vein arrays

Eleven of the 87 samples collected graded above 10 g/t gold, reinforcing the high-grade nature of the system.

Mapping defines strong carbonate alteration, multiple vein orientations and shallow cover zones, which Novo says create potential for blind discoveries. The company is now completing access and heritage steps ahead of a planned maiden reverse circulation (RC) drill program.

Sherlock Crossing drilling confirms gold–antimony system open at depth

At Sherlock Crossing, eight RC holes (1,026 metres) targeted quartz veining beneath the historic Clarke Mine workings.

Significant intercepts include:

  • 3 metres @ 2.96 g/t Au and 1.86% antimony (Sb) from 108 metres, including 1 metre @ 7.71 g/t Au and 4.77% Sb;
  • 1 metre @ 3.15 g/t Au and 84 parts per million (ppm) Sb from 19 metres; and
  • 1 metre @ 1.05 g/t Au and 246 ppm Sb from 59 metres.

Mineralisation remains open down-dip and at depth, and a 1.5-kilometre soil anomaly to the southwest is yet to be drill tested.

Wyloo and JV programs add to momentum

Novo will return to the Wyloo Project in late 2025 for further mapping and sampling after access approval from Traditional Owners. Earlier reconnaissance returned strong polymetallic rock-chip values, including 482 g/t silver, 1.29% antimony and 0.93 g/t gold.

Drilling is scheduled for Q1 2026, subject to heritage surveys.

Separately, JV partner Northern Star continues exploration across Egina and Farno JV tenements, including fieldwork around the Croydon Anticline.

Novo holds about 5,500 square kilometres of Pilbara tenure and continues targeting standalone discoveries with +1-million-ounce development potential, supported by broader exposure to battery metals through its lithium JV with SQM (NYSE:SQM).
