MP Evans shares rise as strong palm oil prices boost outlook

Shares in MP Evans Group PLC (AIM:MPE) climbed 6.2% to 1,375p after the Indonesia-based palm oil producer said firm commodity prices were set to lift full-year revenue and profit.

Crude palm oil averaged US$869 per tonne by the end of October, little changed from the first half, while palm kernel prices strengthened to US$756 per tonne.

The group said November sales were being tendered at similar levels, reflecting steady demand. Harvested crop volumes rose 8% year-on-year for the ten months to October, supported by disciplined cost control and a 40% reduction in third-party crop purchases.

Management expects 2025 results to exceed prior forecasts, aided by robust cash generation, which has enabled repayment of US$20.9 million in loans. A full-year trading update, including production and pricing data, will follow in January 2026.
