MP Evans buoyed by firm palm oil prices and strong harvest

MP Evans Group PLC (AIM:MPE) reported that the sustained strength in palm oil and palm kernel prices during the second half of 2025 is set to lift full-year revenue and profit.

The Indonesia-focused producer of sustainable palm oil said that crude palm oil (CPO) continued to sell at robust levels, averaging US$869 per tonne at the end of October, compared with US$868 per tonne in the first half of the year.

Palm kernel (PK) prices also strengthened to US$756 per tonne, up from US$747 per tonne over the same period.

The company said it was now tendering sales for November at similar levels, around US$850 per tonne for CPO and US$780 per tonne for PK, underlining the stability of market demand.

MPE noted that total harvested crop from its managed estates and associated smallholders rose 8% year-on-year for the ten months to the end of October. This follows a 9% increase reported in the first half of the year.

In line with its focus on sustainability and margins, the group has continued to limit purchases of crops from independent suppliers, reducing these volumes by 40% compared with the same period last year.

The company said that the combination of strong commodity prices, disciplined cost management, and higher own-crop production means it now expects revenue and profit for 2025 to exceed earlier forecasts.

Cash generation has also remained solid, allowing the group to clear all outstanding loans, totalling US$20.9 million as of 30 June.

The board said it will issue a full-year update, including crop, production, and pricing details, in January 2026.
