AMC Entertainment Holdings (NYSE:AMC) delivered better-than-expected financial results for the third quarter, driven by market share gains and strong per-customer spending, though profitability declined compared with a year earlier.

The company posted revenue of $1.3 billion, down from $1.35 billion in the year-ago quarter but topping analyst estimates of $1.23 billion.

e.l.f. Beauty Inc (NYSE:ELF) shares fell 34% after the beauty company issued weaker-than-expected full-year guidance and reported a fiscal second quarter sales miss.

For the full year, the company guided adjusted EPS between $2.80 and $2.85, below analysts’ estimates of $3.53, and expects revenue of $1.55 billion to $1.57 billion, under the $1.65 billion consensus.

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL) shares gained nearly 4% in early trading on Thursday after reports that Japan’s SoftBank Group explored a potential takeover of the chipmaker several months ago, according to Bloomberg.

Masayoshi Son, SoftBank’s founder, was potentially interested in acquiring Marvell to merge it with semiconductor designer Arm Holdings, in which SoftBank has a majority stake, but the two sides couldn’t reach an agreement on terms, the media outlet noted, citing people familiar with the matter.

Seeing Machines Ltd's (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF) shares jumped 7% to 3.68p after the in-car safety specialist announced growing traction in China through its partnership with auto parts giant Magna and a leading German carmaker.

The AIM-listed company said Magna’s integrated mirror system, which embeds Seeing Machines’ driver and occupant monitoring technology, has now completed its first full year of large-scale production in China, a major milestone for the group.

This was alongside a third-quarter trading update that was broadly in line with expectations, with the FTSE 100 company reaffirming its full-year revenue growth guidance of 4% to 6%.
