Happy Creek Minerals names Stephen Gray as new CEO

Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V:HPY, OTC:HPYCF) announced that Stephen Gray will assume the roles of CEO and director, taking the lead as the company advances its exploration programs amid strong market sentiment for tungsten.

Gray succeeds Jason Bahnsen, who has resigned from the board and as CEO, effective Thursday.

Gray brings extensive technical, operational, and business development experience from his previous roles with Rio Tinto Plc, Kinross Gold, and Centerra Gold. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from Western University.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Happy Creek and look forward to building on the excellent work completed by Jason and the rest of the team,” Gray said in a statement. “With strong fundamentals in the tungsten market and a high-quality portfolio led by the Fox project, the company is well positioned for the future.”

Happy Creek’s board of directors thanked Bahnsen for his hard work and dedication, welcoming Gray as he joins at an important time in the company’s development.
