Robinhood Q3 earnings top estimates on record revenue

Robinhood Markets Inc (NASDAQ:HOOD) late Wednesday reported better than expected financial results for its third quarter 2025 as the company’s revenue doubled year over year.

The retail investor trading platform posted earnings per share for the quarter of $0.61, up from $0.17 a year earlier and surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $0.53, according to a survey by LSEG.

Robinhood’s revenue for the period rose 100% year over year to a record $1.27 billion, also better than the $1.19 billion Wall Street forecast.

However, its transaction-based revenue, which is a proxy for trading activity, came in at $730 million, less than the $739 million expected.

“Q3 was another strong quarter of profitable growth, and we continued to diversify our business, adding two more business lines—Prediction Markets and Bitstamp—that are generating approximately $100 million or more in annualized revenues,” Robinhood's CFO Jason Warnick said in a statement.

“And Q4 is off to a strong start in October, with record monthly trading volumes across equities, options, prediction markets, and futures, and new highs for margin balances.”

Robinhood shares slipped nearly 4% to $137.03 in early trading on Thursday, but its stock has soared 250% year to date.
