Argentina Lithium & Energy Corp (TSX-V:LIT, OTCQX:LILIF) said it has made significant technical and strategic progress over the past year as it moves towards its goal of becoming a leading producer of battery-grade lithium within Argentina’s Lithium Triangle.
In a letter to shareholders, CEO Nikolaos Cacos said the company’s flagship Rincon West lithium brine project in Salta Province remains the centerpiece of its growth strategy.
The project, backed by automaker Stellantis, achieved a key milestone this year with the completion of its maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate, providing the foundation for future development plans.
“We are now transitioning from exploration toward development readiness,” Cacos said, noting that priorities include regulatory permitting, Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) process selection and pilot testing, environmental baseline work, engineering studies, and project financing.
Argentina Lithium said it expects to renew its Rincon West drilling permit shortly and is working to secure freshwater access rights for its Paso de Sico concessions to support upcoming exploration and operations. The company is also preparing for pilot-scale testing of DLE technologies, which Cacos described as a “transformative opportunity to enhance lithium recovery efficiency and reduce environmental impact.”
Early-stage engineering and infrastructure design are underway, with a preliminary economic assessment targeted for early 2026, followed by a prefeasibility study. The company said it has opened its data room to potential partners and is in talks with institutional investors to secure financing for the next phase.
Stellantis holds a 19.9% stake in Argentina Lithium’s local subsidiary and has offtake rights upon production commencement. Cacos said the partnership “provides both validation and strength as we move toward feasibility and development readiness.”
Argentina Lithium said it remains focused on executing its technical programs, advancing permits, and finalizing funding to move Rincon West toward construction and production.
