Google set to unveil record investment plan for Germany

Google is preparing to unveil what is expected to be its biggest-ever investment in Germany, according to reports in Handelsblatt.

The Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) company will announce the plans at a press conference on November 11, alongside German finance minister Lars Klingbeil.

The initiative is understood to focus on expanding digital infrastructure through new data centres and renewable energy projects, including the reuse of waste heat.

The investment will also strengthen Google’s presence in Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin, key hubs for its European operations. The tech group has not yet commented publicly on the reported plans.
