Resource Minerals fires up magnetic surveys to sharpen drill targets in Saudi portfolio

Resource Minerals International Ltd (ASX:RMI) has kicked off ground magnetic surveys across its Shaib Marqan Gold Project and Wadi Salamah Gold–Silver Project in Saudi Arabia, aiming to define rock types and the structural controls thought to host gold mineralisation.

The campaign spans both licences — about 190 square kilometres — and sits within RMI’s systematic program to sharpen high-priority targets ahead of mapping and drilling. Survey results and interpretations will feed directly into fieldwork slated for early 2026.

The program marks RMI’s first detailed exploration phase at the two projects and is designed to generate high-priority drill targets ahead of upcoming campaigns.

“Following our outstanding assay results, we’re pleased to advance to the next stage of exploration in Saudi Arabia. Partnering with CNNC adds substantial technical depth and international credibility to our program,” RMI executive chairman Asimwe Kabunga said.

“This collaboration fits our strategy to leverage world-class expertise as we move rapidly toward defining drill targets and unlocking the full potential of our Saudi assets.”

The work is being carried out in collaboration with CNNC Geological Science and Technology Co., Ltd, part of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).

“We’re delighted to work with RMI in advancing its exploration programs within the Arabian-Nubian Shield. The ground magnetic survey will deliver valuable structural insight into these promising gold and silver systems. CNNC brings extensive geology and exploration experience and resources, and we look forward to contributing to the continued success of this collaboration,” Prof. Dr. Zhixin Huang, general manager, CNNC Geological Science and Technology Co., Ltd. Saudi Branch, said.

“The magnetic survey covers both licence areas, totalling approximately 190 square kilometres, and forms part of a systematic work plan to refine high-priority targets for upcoming mapping and drilling. RMI expects the survey results and interpretations to guide field programs planned for early 2026.”

Standout results

The push follows standout rock-chip assays reported recently — up to 40.35 g/t gold at Shaib Marqan and 10.66 g/t gold with 40.4 g/t silver at Wadi Salamah — which RMI says underscore the potential of both systems.

RMI plans to integrate the new magnetic data with existing geological information to map subsurface structures, refine mineralised zones for detailed mapping and advance toward targeted drilling.

It has been a big quarter for the company, with its momentum set to continue.

The quarter was headlined by the acquisition of AuKing Mining’s joint venture interests in Saudi Arabia, high-grade gold and copper rock-chip results, and a new funding line of up to A$5 million to accelerate exploration.
