Market movers: Card Factory, Brown Group, Infinergy, Crest Nicholson, Infinis and more

There were some notable movers from the FTSE 350 at lunch with Poundland rising highest while Card Factory fell to the bottom of the pile.

Below are some news-driven movers at around 4.30pm..

RISERS

Rose Petroleum (LON:ROSE), up 23%, rally ahead of drilling programme in Utah.

Daily Internet (LON:DAIP), up 18%, started a two-year contract renewal with large insurer worth £500,000.

Central Rand Gold (LON:CRND), up 12.63%, subscription at 10p to raise £200,000.

FALLERS

Card Factory (LON:CARD) down 7.65% as it was revealed directors and senior management were selling 7.4mln shares.

Urals Energy (LON:UEN), down 27.03% as it saw losses balloon to US$13.7mln in 2014 from US$273,000 in 2013.

Auhua Clean Energy (LON:ACE), down 29.69%. The environmental technology group has raised £1.72mln through a placing of shares at 4.5p.

RISERS

Poundland (LON:PLND) up 5.64%. After yesterday’s trading update inspired falls, investors ploughed back into the company after an upgrade from Morgan Stanley.

Brown N Group (LON:BWNG) up 3.4%. The plus-size fashion retailer said it expects full year results to be more weighted towards the second half with first half profits lower than last year's.

Infinis (LON:INFI) up 2.57%. The renewable power generator said its two onshore wind projects would not be affected by the government’s decision to close the Renewables Obligation to new onshore wind generating stations from 1 April 2016.

FALLERS

Card Factory (LON:CARD) down 7.79%. Various directors and members of Card Factory’s senior management team are selling 7.4mln shares, representing around 2.2% of the Card Factory shares in issue.

Fidelity China Special Solutions (LON:FCSS) down 3.2. The Chinese investment firm was hit by the news that the Shanghai Composite index tumbled 6% overnight, taking its loss for the week to 13%, the biggest weekly fall for seven years.

Crest Nicholson (LON:CRST) down 2.2%. Shares have been volatile since Tuesday when the housebuilder posted higher half-year sales and profits but warned that it was facing a labour shortage.

RISERS

Styles & Wood (LON:STY), up 31.9%. The integrated property services firm reported a tripling of underlying profit before tax for 2014.

Colt Group (LON:COLT), up 20.0%. Fund management group Fidelity is looking to mop up the shares in Colt that it does not already own with a 190p per share cash offer. Colt’s shares shot up 31p to 188p on the news.

CloudTag (LON:CTAG), up 12.0%. It may look like a typo, but Adience really is the name of the new partner for CloudTag, the wearable device firm. MyCloudTag, the company's health and fitness mobile app, will be marketed and distributed directly to mobile analytics firm Adience's user base.

FALLERS

Urals Energy (LON:UEN), down 29.7%. The Russia-focused exploration and production company saw losses balloon to US$13.7mln in 2014 from US$273,000 in 2013.

Auhua Clean Energy (LON:ACE), down 25.0%. The environmental technology group has raised £1.72mln through a placing of shares at 4.5p, prompting a 2p decline in the share price to 6p.

Rurelec (LON:RUR), down 18.6%. South American power group Rurelec (LON:RUR) has sold its consultancy arm Independent Power Corporation (IPC) to chief executive Peter Earl, who is standing down.
