North Bay Resources Inc. (OTC:NBRI) announced a weighted average of 3.38 ounces per ton of gold from its maiden ore shipment from the Fran Gold Project in British Columbia.
The update includes a re-assay of sample 25FRTB-5, which returned 6.62 ounces per ton gold using ALS Global’s Au-GRA21 method, the company highlighted.
The initial shipment consisted of four test samples, each weighing approximately five pounds, taken from alternating supersacks within a near-surface massive sulphide zone.
The other samples returned gold grades ranging from 0.41 to 2.64 ounces per ton.
Multi-element analysis, including silver and copper assays, is pending.
The ore shipment, totaling 10 supersacks and 22,597 pounds of net dry weight, is scheduled for delivery to North Bay’s 96-ton-per-day Bishop Gold Mill located in California on Tuesday.
The ore will be processed into a concentrate for delivery to the company’s refinery partner in Reno, Nevada.
The Fran Gold Project, near Centerra’s Mt Milligan and Artemis Gold’s Blackwater mines in British Columbia, hosts high-grade gold zones and broader gold-bearing resources currently under development.
