Meren Energy Inc (TSX:MER, OTCQX:MRNFF) announced that its common shares have begun trading on the OTCQX Best Market in the US under the ticker symbol “MRNFF.”
The company said its shares will continue to trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stockholm under the symbol “MER.”
According to Meren, qualifying for the OTCQX Market allows companies to provide transparent trading for US investors.
Companies listed on a qualified international exchange can use their home market reporting to meet US disclosure requirements, provided they meet financial, governance, and compliance standards.
No new shares will be issued in connection with the OTCQX listing.
