EnSilica shares rise on contract wins and project progress

Shares in EnSilica PLC (AIM:ENSI) rose as much as 6% in early trading after the semiconductor group announced new contract awards and project milestones ahead of its annual results.

The chipmaker said six major ASIC design and supply contracts secured last year were progressing well, with one already achieving a prototype tape-out ahead of full completion in mid-2026.

New feasibility and definition contracts worth over £1.6 million were signed, alongside multiple agreements in the fast-growing space communications sector. EnSilica also passed a shipment milestone of 10 million chips for a premium carmaker, double last year’s total.

Chief executive Ian Lankshear said the performance underscored the company’s “highly differentiated technology” and growing demand for custom silicon across key markets.

He added that EnSilica’s strong pipeline and recurring revenues from large-scale programmes provide confidence ahead of tomorrow’s full-year results.

After an early flourish, the stock settled at 44.03p, up 2.4%.
