Silver Range CEO on advancing the Tule Canyon gold-silver project – ICYMI

Silver Range Resources Ltd (TSX-V:SNG, OTC:SLRRF) continues to advance its portfolio of high-potential exploration projects across the western United States. CEO Mike Power spoke with Proactive about the company’s next steps at the Tule Canyon gold-silver property in Nevada, where new geophysical work aims to unlock the potential of a historically rich but underexplored district.

Proactive: For those who might not be familiar, can you give us a quick refresher on the Tule Canyon gold-silver project and what kind of work you have planned there?

Mike Power: Sure. There’s high-grade gold and silver mineralization spread over several miles, with numerous small showings, some of which were mined as early as the 1890s. There have been three small-scale mining operations on the property, running intermittently from the 1890s into the 1980s.

Larger companies looked at the area in the past and weren’t particularly interested, likely because of the smaller, high-grade showings. More importantly, the property sits within the large Sylvania Pluton, a granite-diorite body, which those companies also overlooked.

But we were interested. After compiling all the historical data, we realized there’s a much larger, zoned system there: silver to the west and increasingly gold-rich zones toward the east.

What’s really fascinating is that these showings occur along a significant bend in the aeromagnetic field. It’s straight for miles, except for this one big curve along the margin of the Sylvania Pluton. For geologists, bends like that are very significant because that’s often where pressure is released, rocks fracture, and mineralization can form. We think this bend could be the key to understanding the entire district and identifying where a major deposit might exist.

So, to answer some of those geological questions, you’ve decided once again to bring in a specialized company to conduct an airborne survey?

That’s right. Walker Lane is working with Precision GeoSurveys, a company we’ve partnered with for years that does excellent work. They’ll be flying an aeromagnetic and radiometric survey over the bend in the regional magnetic trend.

The goal is not only to map that large structural bend in more detail but also to identify smaller, secondary anomalies that could point to new mineralization we haven’t yet discovered. It’s an exciting step, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the data reveals.

And for those who might not be familiar with that type of survey, the key advantage is that you can cover a very large area in a short period of time, right? It may not give you all the answers, but it certainly helps point you in the right direction.

Exactly. These surveys cover extensive areas efficiently and provide a crucial base map for our exploration work. In this case, it’s particularly valuable because parts of the property are covered by alluvium, making surface mapping difficult.

The data will help us understand the underlying geological structure and guide us toward areas where we could uncover additional mineralization or expand what’s already known. That’s the real value of these airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys.
