Orosur Mining shares rise after strong drill results and expanding exploration footprint

Orosur Mining Inc (AIM:OMI, TSX-V:OMI) shares climbed 5% to 22p after the company announced high-grade gold intercepts and an expanding exploration footprint across its projects in Colombia and Argentina.

At the Pepas prospect within the Anzá Project in Colombia, assays from three new holes returned standout results, including 112 metres at 5.25g/t gold from surface in hole PEP066.

Two other holes, PEP065 and PEP065B, intersected 33-metre zones grading nearly 2.8g/t gold, confirming consistent high-grade mineralisation. Resource consultants are scheduled to visit next week to begin work on a Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).

At El Cedro, soil sampling confirmed a large gold-bearing porphyry system, with some samples exceeding 1g/t gold, and identified a second porphyry target for follow-up drilling in 2026.

A new airborne magnetic and radiometric survey is planned later this year to refine targets ahead of drilling.

Meanwhile, a drill rig has arrived at the company’s El Pantano project in Argentina to begin the first exploration programme across the 550km² licence area in Santa Cruz province.
