Haleon outlook held steady as organic growth improves in third quarter

Haleon PLC (LSE:HLN, NYSE:HLN) delivered a slight improvement in organic revenue growth of 3.4% in the third quarter and maintained its full-year guidance.

The maker of Sensodyne, Panadol and Centrum saw top-line expansion pick up from 3.0% in the second quarter.

Q3 growth consisted of 1.8% price growth and a 1.6% uplift in volume and mix, compared to 2.5% price and 0.5% volume/mix in the second quarter.

The FTSE 100-listed consumer health company said all regions contributed to growth, with EMEA & LatAm up 5.3%, Asia-Pacific up 5.1%, and North America rising 0.4%, where consumption continued to outperform the market.

Oral Health remained the standout performer with 6.9% organic sales growth, driven by innovation and new launches across Sensodyne, Parodontax and Polident/Poligrip.

Sales for the Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) category expanded 4.9%, supported by strong demand for Centrum, particularly in EMEA and Latin America.

Emerging markets posted 7.1% growth, led by double-digit gains in India and mid-single-digit growth in China.

Chief executive Brian McNamara called it a "good performance" as all regions delivered positive organic revenue growth, which he said was "driven by strong in-market execution and the continued roll-out of our innovation pipeline".

The company said it remains on track to deliver its full-year guidance, with organic revenue growth of around 3.5% and high single-digit operating profit growth expected, assuming a normal cold and flu season.
