AuMEGA Metals September quarter continues to advance company ambitions

AuMEGA Metals Ltd (ASX:AAM, TSX:AUM, OTCQB:AUMMF) closed the September quarter with a solid bank and steady progress across its Newfoundland portfolio. The company ended the period with C$6.3 million (AU$6.86 million) in cash, leaving it fully funded to continue one of the largest, most systematic exploration programs in its history. There was no production revenue in the quarter; activity focused on building and testing targets to advance Cape Ray and earlier-stage regional assets.

Cape Ray advances

Field work at Cape Ray delivered several advances.

A strong electromagnetic anomaly was identified about 500 metres southeast of the Central Zone. Although untested, it lies near a rock sample grading 111.5 g/t gold and shows conductivity signatures comparable to the main Cape Ray deposit, positioning it as a high-priority drill target.

Complementing this, a west-of-camp till survey defined multiple >99th percentile gold-in-till corridors extending up to three kilometres along the Isle aux Morts Granite—an untested intrusive unit—outlining large-scale targets for follow-up.

Diamond drilling continued to extend known mineralisation. At the Central Zone, hole CRD412 intersected 13.5 metres at 1.85 g/t gold, including 0.85 metres at 4.79 g/t from 340.5 metres downhole. These results push mineralisation down-plunge of the Z04 deposit, which remains open in several directions and supports the potential to grow the existing resource base.

Expanded opportunities

Beyond Cape Ray, the pipeline of opportunities expanded.

AuMEGA completed a till survey at Bunker Hill (assays pending), finished additional Cape Ray till programs, and commenced a regional till survey at Hermitage to refine targets across the broader landholding. With results pending from multiple datasets, the company has scheduled a fully funded drilling program for the fourth quarter of 2025 to test the new Cape Ray targets.

Corporate strength

On the corporate front, AuMEGA strengthened governance and sector connectivity.

James Withall, former CEO of Rupert Resources, joined the Board, bringing nearly three decades of international mining, exploration and natural-resources investing experience.

Regionally, continued M&A—most notably the completed merger of Equinox Gold and Calibre Mining—highlighted the Cape Ray–Valentine shear as an emerging gold district and reinforced the strategic relevance of AuMEGA’s 105-kilometre land position along the Cape Ray Shear Zone.

The quarter was characterised by disciplined spending, active target generation and extension of known mineralisation.

With C$6.3 million in cash, multiple assay sets due, and a near-term, fully funded drill program queued for Q4 2025, AuMEGA enters the December quarter positioned to convert geophysical and geochemical anomalies into drill-ready prospects and, potentially, resource growth.
