Charbone Hydrogen begins civil construction work at Sorel-Tracy green hydrogen facility

Charbone Hydrogen Corporation (TSX-V:CH, OTCQB:CHHYF) announced that civil construction work has officially started at its Sorel-Tracy site, in line with the company’s previously announced schedule.

Construction began this week, marking the start of the build phase for Charbone’s first clean Ultra High Purity (UHP) hydrogen production module in Quebec.

The work includes preparation of the site’s technical infrastructure and installation of foundations for the reassembly of key equipment, which was delivered earlier this month.

“We are extremely proud to see the project progressing exactly according to plan, thanks to the outstanding commitment of our teams and partners,” Charbone CEO Dave Gagnon said in a statement.

“The start of civil construction work brings our vision of local, decarbonized clean UHP hydrogen production in Quebec to life. Each milestone achieved brings us closer to commissioning in November and to the broader deployment of our modular model.”

Shares of Charbone ticked around 3% higher at the open Wednesday at C$0.18.
